City Wide Special of Kirin and Toki for ($9)
Welcome to Philly’s Best Happy Hours, a feature highlighting happy hours that are raising the bar (see what we did there?) in different neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia. Drink Philly started out as a place to find happy hours in the city, so we’ve returned to our roots and turned the spotlight on some of Philly’s absolute best happy hour deals.
On this week’s episode, we’re all about dancerobot: Jesse Ito and Justin Bacharach’s new retro Rittenhouse spot, inspired by Japan’s signature convenience stores and the nostalgic flavors therein. Distinct and very 80’s-influenced, dancerobot is where cozy diner vibes meet style, energy, and the culinary talents that brought us Royal Sushi & Izakaya.
Much like the space, this happy hour is classic and comfortable with a spicy spin. Grab a snack and a drink at the bar or a table from 4 PM - 6 PM, Tuesday through Friday. And the best part? Each item on the menu is $9 or less.
Egg Salad Sando ($7)
You won’t want to miss the highly anticipated Egg Salad Sando, complete with an optional caviar addition (!!), housemade shokupan, karashi, and crème fraîche.
Classic Highball: Toki, soda, yuzu ($7)
For a light and refreshing drink pairing, look no further than the Classic and Sparkling Greyhound Highballs, the latter featuring Haku vodka, sparkling grapefruit soda, and lime ($8).
As for the other drink specials, you just can’t go wrong with a Kirin Ichiban or a glass of wine for $6, the sake selection of the day at just $7, or a carefully crafted cocktail for $8.

Hot Dog: arabiki sausage baked into housemade milkbread bun, topped with ketchup, kewpie mayo, aonori ($8)
If you’re on the hungrier side, check out dancerobot’s take on the hot dog we all know and love: an Arabiki sausage baked into a housemade milkbread bun for $8, or the deliciously juicy Nikuman Bao stuffed with braised pork shoulder, spicy chili crisp, soy, and ginger for $7.
Robochiki: spicy fried chicken thigh, hot sauce ($5)
Plus, who doesn’t love a City Wide Special of Kirin and Toki for $9?

With a spacious central bar, open windows for warm, breezy Spring days, and a menu that’s as tasty as it is comforting, dancerobot is the (new) place to be if you’re looking for a fun, go-to happy hour on the square.
